Mount Harmon offers a new series of special history and nature themed programs second Sundays, May ~ October. Join us for one or all of these fun programs that bring history and nature to life!

September Second Sundays Program:
Hay Wagon Tour of Mount Harmon Landmarks & Nature Preserve September 13 at 1pm. Family friendly and fun for all!

October Second Sundays Program:
Guided Kayak Paddle with Sultana Education Foundation October 11, 12:30 – 2:30pm includes kayak, guide, and option for manor house tour.
Bring picnic to enjoy on scenic picnic grounds at manor and waterfront.

Special Group Tours
Special Group Tours for groups of 8 or more are available April through November by advanced reservation, and are able to be customized to suit your group’s interests and schedule.
Special Group Rate $8 per person
Includes guided private group tour of historic manor house, colonial kitchen, smoke house, quarters, and self guided tours of gardens and grounds. Can be customized to suit time frame and special interests of your group.
Groups of 12 or more may be split into more than one group. Open house format tours of manor house, outbuildings, and visitor center are available for large groups. Let us know the special interests of your group and we look forward to making your visit special for you!
We also offer custom add-on options for special groups, including hearth cooking, spinning/weaving demonstrations, guided nature walks, colonial tavern games, and hay wagon rides for an additional fee.
Tour visitors are welcome to enjoy our beautiful grounds after the tour and to bring a picnic to enjoy at our scenic picnic areas or we can suggest good local restaurant dinning options.
Some of our local favorite restaurants that can accommodate large groups include Fish Whistle, Kitty Knight House, Harvest & Tide, and Chesapeake Inn. For catered lunches onsite please contact us to reserve our carriage house visitor center and ask for our preferred vendor with list of local caterers that can provide lunch and food service.
Please note, there is no food available on site, so please bring picnic and water/beverage to enjoy on our scenic picnic grounds.
